The Bimson family have been in business since 1947 and became established in the haulage industry in the 1970’s. Richard and John Bimson are the 3rd generation of this driven family business that has experienced an annual turnover growth from £1m in 2007 to £22m in 2022. The company has evolved from regional haulier to a National delivery service partner to the largest UK construction materials manufacturers. This growth has been a result of continued emphasis on customer service and reliability, whilst being price competitive in a demanding industry.

Bimson understands and embraces the urgency required for the logistics industry to address it’s role in climate change and is an innovator in seeking emission reduction solutions, both short and long term. Demonstrating itself as an early adopter, Bimson is currently trialling the diesel conditioner SulNOx which aims to significantly reduce emissions (Quoted by SulNOx “CO2/NOx (circa 30%), also reducing deadly Particulate Matter (PMs), including soot and smoke (PM2.5 ↓60+% and PM10 ↓50+%”)
Extensive research is in progress to align Bimson with the best alternative fuel vehicles and refuelling networks to achieve the solution of a net zero brick and block delivery service.
In 2020 Bimson were shortlisted for the MT Urban Delivery Operator Awards for the introduction of the Urban Brick Crane – a unique and pioneering vehicle combination striving to reduce heavy vehicle delivery frequency by maximising delivery payload into city centres without compromising manoeuvrability.
